The path that led Shawn Morgan, a valued member and Associate Attorney for our Pacific Cascade office, to where he is today is not a linear one; rather it is a path that has taken him across the world, through multiple career pursuits, and one which finally led him back to his home state.
Shawn’s interest in the law was sparked when he read Gideon’s Trumpet in an undergraduate class at the University of Washington. Inspired by the important role that law plays in protecting and expanding basic human rights, and the message that an attorney can help everyone by just helping one person, Shawn set out to Philadelphia to pursue law at Temple Law School, where he developed an interest in international law.
Upon graduation, and following a study-abroad program in Japan, Shawn took a bold jump and moved his life to China, where he lived for the next 15 years. During his time in China, Sean explored a handful of different career pursuits, ranging from working at a corporate law firm in Shanghai, to education, consulting, and content management. Having recently moved back to Washington, his home state, Shawn is once again stepping back into the legal field as a family law attorney.
When not practicing family law, Shawn has a handful of interests that keep him busy and on the cusp of adventure. You might find Sean enjoying a day outdoors in the expansive Washington mountains, going for a motorcycle ride, practicing languages, of which he’s fluent in both English and Mandarin, or working on accruing hours for his private pilot’s license.
